The dextran molecule is the central building block within the Polydex family of products and companies. Combined with normally toxic drugs, this wholly natural polysaccharide serves as a slow-release agent that reduces toxicity and/or boosts efficacy. In products currently under development, it is also showing significant promise as an antimicrobial agent with groundbreaking therapeutic potential.
